Robin Hood (2018) Movie Review

Robin Hood (2018) Movie Review

The most cringe film of the year

So, the other day I saw the movie Robin Hood, and by Robin Hood I mean the new new one that has just come out in theaters. This movie is bad, it's really bad, and I understand why it's been getting such a low score by other film critics.
This film follows Robin of Loxley, as he is sent to the crusades and then after returning, his house was taken by the Sheriff of Nottingham. So now, with a new friend who was once an enemy, Robin and friends seek to bring about liberation of the people from the oppressive Sheriff and the other evils that plague their town.
Robin Hood seeks to fill some sort of savior complex but the movie sets it up so poorly. I understand that this is a more "fantasy" version of the story, but hot damn they could have at least put a sherd of effort into the blasted thing!
All of the characters were completely and utterly static, even Robin. This movie is trying to be somewhat in the same style as that King Arthur film that came out last year, but has nothing that made that film fun. This movie is such a missed opportunity.
Yet again, unlike the King Arthur film that came out the year before, the music in this film is completely forgettable. It's sad really because from a creative stand point, they could have really done something great.
Oh! Before I forget, character motivations switch like it was nothing, like one second, "Oh I'm the good guy," and then out of the freaking blue, "Ha ha ha, I'm evil," as they rub hands together. Also their are some blatant undertones to modern politics in this film, which would be fine if they didn't do them so lazily.
Would I recommend seeing this movie? Hell no! Save your money and go see a halfway decent film like The Crimes of Grindelwald or a really good film like Outlaw King. This film was such a disappointment right from the trailer.

final score: 2.3/5

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far The funniest show I've seen in years I've been watching a show on Netflix called Norsemen, and I swear this is the funniest show I've seen in years! I can't understate how funny this show can really be, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say about 90% of the jokes land. Norsemen starts off in 790 AD, and follows a few Vikings and their slaves. The show goes through their lives and their trials, but it's done with a comedic spin. If you haven't yet, watch the trailer above to get a better idea of the show. I will say this, this show reminds me of Monty Python ! Some of the jokes Norsemen  are gut busting, and will almost have you rolling on the floor laughing. In an age of bad comedies this show is gold.  I just started watching season 2 the other day, and I just want to keep watching. The episodes are about a half hour long each, and it's the perfect time frame to get the story across. I wouldn't c...
