Happy 3 Years!

Happy 3 Years! Holy Crap! I've been on this blog for 3 freaking years! I can't believe I've been doing this for this long. It still seems like yesterday when I posted that La La Land Review. I want to thank everyone that's come along on this journey through film with me. And here's to another year!

Jojo Rabbit Movie Review

Jojo Rabbit Movie Review A Really Good Movie I just got back from seeing Jojo Rabbit at the theater with one of my friends and this film was really good but not in the way I expected. Jojo Rabbit is a WWII based film that follows a young German boy named Jojo ( Roman Griffin Davis ) as he is a fanatic of the Nazis. But when he discovers his mother ( Scarlett Johansson ) is hiding a Jewish Girl named Elsa ( Thomasin McKenzi ), self doubt about who he really is creeps in. Is Jojo really a Nazi? Or just a kid caught up in difficult situation trying to figure out right from wrong? Taika Waititi  did a fantastic job Directing, Writing, and Acting in this film. Jojo Rabbit was a bit darker than I thought it would be and had a lot more heart too. I went in expecting a full on comedy, but Jojo Rabbit is way more than that. First off, I want to applaud the cast. Roman Griffin Davis, Scarlett Johansson, Taika Waititi, and Thomasin McKenzi all did a great job in this film. They really

1917 Movie Review

1917 Movie Review A Triumph Of A Film I just got out of seeing the masterpiece of a film, 1917 with some friends. I'm glad as hell I went and saw this true Triumph of cinema. 1917 follows two British soldiers given orders to deliver a message calling off an attack. They are racing against the clock with less than a day to deliver the message. With danger lurking around every corner, will they make it in time? I want to continue to praise this film as it really was fantastic. The cinematography was beautiful, the colors were gorgeous, the acting was superb, the score was flawless, and the Directing was amazing. I cannot understate how great this film is. Starting off with the cinematography. The creative choice to make this a one long take was well decided. There are some cuts in the film, and you do know where they are. However, it never looks like the film cuts, but you know when it does. The long takes were really masterful. The amount of dedication that the cinemato

There's Another New Mutants Trailer Out!

There's Another New Mutants Trailer Out! I don't know if you've noticed, but I've been looking forward to the movie, The New Mutants for a while. If you haven't, you can see it here , here , here , and here . So, what are my thoughts on the new trailer after years of hype? It's pretty good. I'm not entirely blown away by the new trailer, but I am happy with it. Apparently the new release date is April 3rd, 2020 according to Wikipedia . Let's back track for a moment and look at all the release dates. The New Mutants was first supposed be released on April 13th 2018, then it was pushed to February 22nd 2019 because of Deadpool 2, then it was pushed again August 2nd 2019 because of Dark Phoenix, and now that Disney has bought out Fox, it's supposed to come out April 3rd 2020.  I've waited for this film for too long. It's about freaking time they release it! I'm not the biggest superhero fan, but by golly I've been waiting for th

Jumanji: The Next Level Movie Review

Jumanji: The Next Level Movie Review Paint By Numbers: The Movie A few days ago, I went and saw Jumanji: The Next Level with some friends of mine. Well, I can say this, Danny Devito should not do slapstick. Jumanji: The Next Level is a continuation from the previous Jumanji film that came out back in 2017. Same character same plot, new backdrops. I'm not going into the plot really because it's not worth the time to write it out. I was so bored watching this film I wanted to fall asleep. My gosh darn eyes refused to do so, which honestly sucks. Going into Jumanji: The Next Level I thought it would be a bad film, but I could at least have some fun with it. Oh, I was wrong. There is little to no fun to be had with this film. The script is bland and cliche, the acting is poor, and they hold back from making this an interesting film. I don't know who the writers were for this film, and frankly, I'm not going to look them up. I don't want to give them credit.

I think I'm going to add this list to the tradition on the blog and give yet another top 5 most anticipated movies list. Some of these movies I didn't expect would make this list, but here they are. Let's get right into my top 5 most anticipated movies of 2020! 5. The King's Man I'm a fan of the Kingsman series and I'm looking forward to the third installment of this franchise. I hope it does well.  4. No Time To Die I love the James Bond franchise and I can't wait to see another film in the series. I am a little hesitant about the movie however, as something rubs me the wrong way about the trailer and I can't put my finger on it. I heard they're moving away from the traditional James Bond style, and I'll give it a chance but it's not looking to hot so far. I will give the film a shot and I still love the James Bond series. 3.
