Avengers Endgame Movie Review

A Good Movie, But Infinity War Was Better

I know I know, I'm late to reviewing Endgame. There has been some stuff in my personal life which has been taking up my time from the blog. If you're interested, check my last update. Anyways, onto the review.
Avengers Endgame starts right off from Infinity War. If I go any further than that, I fear I'm going into spoiler territory.
The beginning and ending of this film are fantastic! Seriously, they're the best parts of the movie. They were very well acted. The action scenes are done very well in the film. It truly was a fun time whenever the action came on.
I was surprised the characters which were focused on in the film. As you know, Captain Marvel just came out a couple months ago, and the way they were hyping her, felt like she was going to be really important to Endgame. She barley was in the movie, and she really didn't do anything which I was surprised about. A couple of the side characters got more attention, which I thought was nice.
There is supposed to be a very emotional scene in the film, but I didn't really feel it. It just sorta happened. It occurs during the middle of the film, which was the weakest part.
Endgame does lag a bit in the middle, though a few good jokes make their way through. I felt like the film was missing something, but I just can't put my finger on it.
If you're a Marvel fan, then you'll probably want to see Endgame. Like I said earlier, the beginning and ending are fantastic, it's just the middle which lags a bit. I would recommend seeing it, just as one would read the last chapter of a book. I know Disney is planning on doing another phase, but I don't really see where they'll go next. If they ended the Marvel series here, it would have been a nice send off. I have a feeling, lets call it a prediction, in the 2020s, the superhero genre will go the way of the western. I think Marvel should quiet while it's ahead.

final score: 3.5/5

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

Uncharted Movie Review

Uncharted Movie Review Not As Good As The Games I went and saw the movie Uncharted a while ago, and it was as I expected it to be. If you are a fan of the games, well... prepare for disappointment. Uncharted follows Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), a low level thief as he is recruited by Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to go on a treasure hunt. As someone who has played some of the games, but not all, I have to say that the Uncharted film is what I thought it would be. A mishmash of all four games but not committing to any of them. The acting is a bit stale, and the plot is predictable. The camera work was fine, but the music was underused. Tom Holland should not have been Nathan Drake. He lacks the charisma, the attitude, and the charm. He may have passed for a teenage Nathan Drake, but he should have only been in a few scenes. I'm not the biggest fan of Tom Holland either long time readers may know. Now, onto Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan. Mark Wahlberg is way too young to be playi...
