John Wick Movie Review

A Fantastic Action Film

I've seen John Wick a couple of times, and I thought I reviewed it already. Apparently, I haven't. So here's the long overdue review of, John Wick.
John Wick follows, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) as a retired assassin. One day when a group of guys, kill his dog and steal his car, he goes out seeking vengeance.
I swear this might be my favorite Keanu Reeves movie so far. The action in John Wick is just incredible. The acting is top notch for the genre, and Keanu Reeves gives a fantastic performance! Let's dig into this movie a little further.
If you haven't seen this film and you love action, it's a must. The fights are so fun to watch and you can clearly see Keanu Reeves enjoying himself here. There's style and a lack of quick jarring cuts. You actually get to see the fight happening without 20 cuts in five freaking seconds, crazy right? Who would actually show you the action? Well, apparently John Wick.
Keanu Reeves gives such a fantastic performance as this character. He seems in his element as if he was born to play John Wick. He takes the character seriously and it's greatly appreciated. In the film he's hyped up as a badass, and the beautifully follow the show don't tell rule. Well, they tell a little, but the character earn his reputation.
The camera work was well done and overall, competently shot. The music in the film fit each scene perfectly. The special effects were a thriller. I also have a sneaking suspicion the director had a blast making John Wick.
Should you see John Wick? Heck yes you should! If you're looking to have a fun time and don't know what to watch, pop in John Wick.

final score: 4.4/5

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far The funniest show I've seen in years I've been watching a show on Netflix called Norsemen, and I swear this is the funniest show I've seen in years! I can't understate how funny this show can really be, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say about 90% of the jokes land. Norsemen starts off in 790 AD, and follows a few Vikings and their slaves. The show goes through their lives and their trials, but it's done with a comedic spin. If you haven't yet, watch the trailer above to get a better idea of the show. I will say this, this show reminds me of Monty Python ! Some of the jokes Norsemen  are gut busting, and will almost have you rolling on the floor laughing. In an age of bad comedies this show is gold.  I just started watching season 2 the other day, and I just want to keep watching. The episodes are about a half hour long each, and it's the perfect time frame to get the story across. I wouldn't c...
