Top 5 Worst Movies Of 2020

The Top 5 Worst Movies Of 2020

What A Year!

Welcome back to my Top 5 Worst Movies of the year list! 2020 has sucked for movies and I wasn't sure going into this list if I would have enough films to even qualify for the Top 5 Worst and Best lists. But I have exactly 10 movies that qualified under part of the rules: the rules are the movie had to either been in theaters this year, or premiered this year, and the movie must have scored below a 3/5. I am going to change it a little bit because 2020 was so unusual, I'm going to make the list basically in order of scoring so the "scored below a 3/5" rule is going to tossed out this year but the "been in theaters or premiered this year" rule will still be in active. With that said, here are the Top 5 Worst Movies Of 2020!

5. The Invisible Man

The Invisible Man Poster

The Invisible Man was a decent enough film. It wasn't perfect and it most certainly had it's flaws, but I would consider watching it again.

3.3/5

4. Rebecca

Rebecca Poster

Rebecca was a bit of a disappointment. I do enjoy the gothic genre, but Rebecca didn't really seem that gothic at all. I think I might have over shot my expectations, and looking back at it now, I probably should have lowered my rating.

3/5

3. Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)

Sonic the Hedgehog 2020 Poster

When I was a kid, Sonic was one of my favorite franchises, and I think I might have had blinders on, but this adaptation was pretty bad. I expected a little more from the film than I got. It's still alright for kids, but older fans might not like it.

2.7/5

2. Jumanji: The Next Level

Jumanji: The Next Level Poster

Jumanji: The Next Level was boring. There were some decent enough actors in the film and I've seen them do better things, but this movie was boring as hell. I'll probably never watch this film again, and I never plan too.

2.5/5

1. Mank

Mank Poster

And finally we've come to the Worst Movie Of 2020, Mank. I really don't understand why other critics are loving this movie, it really sucks. The structure is all over the place and it only goes halfway with trying 30s style of film, but it never commits. Mank is absolutely bad.

2/5

Conclusion

Do you agree with my list? Do you disagree? Should I have a different movie(s) on this list? Am I completely wrong and you want to go on a rant? Well then, tell me in the comments! And my top 5 best list will come out on New Years Eve!

Uncharted Movie Review

Uncharted Movie Review Not As Good As The Games I went and saw the movie Uncharted a while ago, and it was as I expected it to be. If you are a fan of the games, well... prepare for disappointment. Uncharted follows Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), a low level thief as he is recruited by Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to go on a treasure hunt. As someone who has played some of the games, but not all, I have to say that the Uncharted film is what I thought it would be. A mishmash of all four games but not committing to any of them. The acting is a bit stale, and the plot is predictable. The camera work was fine, but the music was underused. Tom Holland should not have been Nathan Drake. He lacks the charisma, the attitude, and the charm. He may have passed for a teenage Nathan Drake, but he should have only been in a few scenes. I'm not the biggest fan of Tom Holland either long time readers may know. Now, onto Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan. Mark Wahlberg is way too young to be playi

Coda Movie Review

Coda Movie Review This Deserved Best Picture So, I just got back from seeing Coda, and it was amazing! This was the second attempt to see this film as the first time, someone booked the entire theater for a private screening. I'm going to take from a summary from IMDB to summarize the plot: " As a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) Ruby is the only hearing person in her deaf family. When the family's fishing business is threatened, Ruby finds herself torn between pursuing her passion at Berklee College of Music and her fear of abandoning her parents." The acting was  phenomenal, the  cinematography was beautiful, and the story was human. The way this film is crafted is nothing short but excellent. I will not that not everything is 100% accurate, but for narrative reasons, I understand the choices they made. The actors have amazing chemistry together. Everything feels natural between them and they all bring their characters to life. No performance fell flat. I perhaps would

The Batman Movie Review

The Batman Movie Review A Solid Noir Film I went and saw The Batman the other day with one of my buddies and I must say, we really enjoyed it. Granted I don't think this movie is for everyone. The Batman follows Batman (Robert Pattinson) during his second year of crime fighting. When the mayor of Gotham is killed by The Riddler (Paul Dano), it is up to Batman with the help of James Gordon (Jeffery Wright), and Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz) to stop him. From a visual point of view, The Batman is gorgeous. Every frame is a painting. The acting is solid, the plot is solid. The musical score is outstanding. I personally loved the film, but there are some things in it that could off-set some Batman fans. I typically get into the acting first, but like you've probably already heard many reviewers say before, the city is a character in this film. Gotham feels real, grounded, and certainly not a place you'd want to visit. Corruption and crime run rampant at every level of society. The
