The Sopranos Show Review

A Great Show About The Mob

I finished watching the show, The Sopranos, a little while ago, and I must say it's pretty darn good. I can't believe I've missed out on watching it for so long!
Tony Soprano in therapy The Sopranos follows the life of Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), a New Jersey Mob Boss. He struggles with maintaining his dominance, at his... "job"... and at home.
Carmela Soprano eating I'm surprised I wrote that summary so short, but anyways, it's simple but very good. The acting in the series is truly great. James Gandolfini, rest in peace, did a fantastic job as Tony Soprano. The rest of the cast did fantastic as well. There's to many characters to be recognized here, and if I did, it would take up most of this review giving recognition to the rest of the cast. I'm just going to keep it simple, I would like to thank each and every cast member who was involved in this fantastic show. Seriously guys, thank you.
Adriana in the show The Sopranos There's nothing fancy about the camerawork here. They keep it simple throughout the series, and it works. The show doesn't really require many artistic shots, and in some ways, the simpler the shots, the better the show looks. It's sort of like... less is more. Yeah that rule applies here I believe.
The music is fitting for the show and I think they did a decent job with it, though it can be a bit dated. Take that as you will.
The sets are fantastic in and of themselves. The homes and hangouts of the characters feel as though they become your own.
The show overall was pretty darn good, though it did have a few flaws. Such as, some of the minor characters could be annoying at times, not often, but it did happen. I also wasn't such a big fan of the opening title sequence for the show, it did grow on me a bit towards the end, but I've seen better. Also how they end the series is such a big let down. The Sopranos had so much going for it, but they ended it terribly.
The Sopranos is a great show if you like crime or drama shows. If you liked Boardwalk Empire, you'd probably like this show as well. The Sopranos in the end was a pretty decent show I was glad to watch.

final score: 4.4/5

Uncharted Movie Review

Uncharted Movie Review Not As Good As The Games I went and saw the movie Uncharted a while ago, and it was as I expected it to be. If you are a fan of the games, well... prepare for disappointment. Uncharted follows Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), a low level thief as he is recruited by Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to go on a treasure hunt. As someone who has played some of the games, but not all, I have to say that the Uncharted film is what I thought it would be. A mishmash of all four games but not committing to any of them. The acting is a bit stale, and the plot is predictable. The camera work was fine, but the music was underused. Tom Holland should not have been Nathan Drake. He lacks the charisma, the attitude, and the charm. He may have passed for a teenage Nathan Drake, but he should have only been in a few scenes. I'm not the biggest fan of Tom Holland either long time readers may know. Now, onto Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan. Mark Wahlberg is way too young to be playi

Coda Movie Review

Coda Movie Review This Deserved Best Picture So, I just got back from seeing Coda, and it was amazing! This was the second attempt to see this film as the first time, someone booked the entire theater for a private screening. I'm going to take from a summary from IMDB to summarize the plot: " As a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) Ruby is the only hearing person in her deaf family. When the family's fishing business is threatened, Ruby finds herself torn between pursuing her passion at Berklee College of Music and her fear of abandoning her parents." The acting was  phenomenal, the  cinematography was beautiful, and the story was human. The way this film is crafted is nothing short but excellent. I will not that not everything is 100% accurate, but for narrative reasons, I understand the choices they made. The actors have amazing chemistry together. Everything feels natural between them and they all bring their characters to life. No performance fell flat. I perhaps would
