Venom Movie Review

Venom has just come out and the critics have already panned this film, but the real question is, is it as bad as they say it is? Well, I'll give my two cents on this little superhero film!

Venom follows an investigative journalist, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) as he becomes synced with an alien named Venom. The evil corporation that was housing Venom, wants Venom back, and won't stop until they do.
Alright, this film isn't as bad as Rotten Tomatoes critics say it is, but it's still not great.
I'll start off with the good in this film first. So in Venom the interaction of Venom and Eddie are very entertaining and very comical at points. Tom Hardy is the guy that really makes this film, otherwise this entire movie would most likely fall apart. Some of the action scenes are very cool, and you get to see some decent fights.
Now for the bad. So, Venom's motivation in the film changes really fast, and I mean fast! It's almost jarring how fast his motivation changes. The villains of the film are pretty freaking weak, and I mean that in the sense of character. The villains get little development, and how they take things to the extremes is almost laughable.
Regarding the music. The music is pretty standard for a superhero film, except for the end credits song. If you're a fan of rap, it's actually pretty good, and I would sit through that song if I were you, and besides, you have to wait for the end credits scene! Oh yeah, there is an end credits scene in this movie, but don't worry because there is only one.
Venom isn't a perfect film, but for what it's worth there is some entertainment value to be had in this movie. Like most films, theres some good and some bad, but like many other films in this genre, most find themselves somewhere in the middle.

final score: 3.3/5

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far The funniest show I've seen in years I've been watching a show on Netflix called Norsemen, and I swear this is the funniest show I've seen in years! I can't understate how funny this show can really be, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say about 90% of the jokes land. Norsemen starts off in 790 AD, and follows a few Vikings and their slaves. The show goes through their lives and their trials, but it's done with a comedic spin. If you haven't yet, watch the trailer above to get a better idea of the show. I will say this, this show reminds me of Monty Python ! Some of the jokes Norsemen  are gut busting, and will almost have you rolling on the floor laughing. In an age of bad comedies this show is gold.  I just started watching season 2 the other day, and I just want to keep watching. The episodes are about a half hour long each, and it's the perfect time frame to get the story across. I wouldn't c...
