Upgrade Movie Review

Upgrade... this movie... it surpassed my expectations by a whole ton!
Okay, this this movie follows Grey Trace (Logan Marshall-Green) as his wife and him are on there way home and their car gets hijacked. Then a group of people come up and kill Grey's wife, and shoot him in the neck paralyzing him. Now Grey is given an upgrade of a widget that is installed in his neck which gives him back his bodily functions and now he is out for revenge.
I saw this movie last night with one of my friends. I went into this movie expecting it to be a sort of turn your brain off and enjoy kinda film, but this movie is way better than that. The action is superb, and absolutely thrilling. Comedy is perfectly timed, and never misses a single beat. The drama is amazing and has some depth.
Granted there are a few problems with this movie, but they are very minor. Most of them can be overlooked.
The music works well for this movie, and it really adds to the overall impact of the film. Yet the music is really not that memorable. Whomever did the arrangement for this movie overall did a pretty good job in the end.
This movie is one that is worth seeing and if you like good action films I would recommend this movie.

final score: 4.5/5

Coda Movie Review

Coda Movie Review This Deserved Best Picture So, I just got back from seeing Coda, and it was amazing! This was the second attempt to see this film as the first time, someone booked the entire theater for a private screening. I'm going to take from a summary from IMDB to summarize the plot: " As a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) Ruby is the only hearing person in her deaf family. When the family's fishing business is threatened, Ruby finds herself torn between pursuing her passion at Berklee College of Music and her fear of abandoning her parents." The acting was  phenomenal, the  cinematography was beautiful, and the story was human. The way this film is crafted is nothing short but excellent. I will not that not everything is 100% accurate, but for narrative reasons, I understand the choices they made. The actors have amazing chemistry together. Everything feels natural between them and they all bring their characters to life. No per...
