Recommended Music I Found in 2017

I typically love Rock music, but this year I decided to expand out a little and try some different genres of music. So I will suggest 5 songs (that have been around not just this year) that you should check out that you probably didn't hear this year (links to youtube vids will be provided).

The first song I am going to recommend is Chop Suey, By Robyn Adele Anderson. This is a Jazz cover of Chop Suey by System of a Down. It works really well as a jazz song, and I really appreciate the vocals on this track. Click here to listen.

The next song is The Curse, by Agnes Obel. This is a Folk song with some Classical inspiration, as I would describe it. The song is very relaxing, and the instrumentals are artfully preformed and the vocals are gorgeous. I admit though that this song didn't come out this year, but a few years ago. Anyways, click here to listen.

The next song is In Hell I'll Be In Good Company, by The Dead South. This Blue Grass song is well done overall, and this is coming from a person that really isn't into Blue Grass. The melody is simple yet enjoyable. Click here to listen.

Then we come to Using You, by Mars Argo. I just found this song a few days ago, and I have no freaking clue what genre I would classify this one as. It's a bit strange, and a bit of an ear worm, and once I get this one in my head, it can be a little hard to get it out. Yet I would say, that this song is worth a shot. Click here to listen.

The final song is Television Romance, by Pale Waves. This is something that I feel like I can only describe as Goth Pop music. It has memorable lyrics, and a relaxed upbeat feel that looks like it would be kinda fun to play. This might not be for everyone, but I find it to be a very well put together song. I believe they are releasing their first debut EP in January 2018, and I might do a review for it. So, click here to listen.

I hope you found at least one song that you enjoyed from here! And in 2018, I think I will add an occasional music review along with my normal movie reviews.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far The funniest show I've seen in years I've been watching a show on Netflix called Norsemen, and I swear this is the funniest show I've seen in years! I can't understate how funny this show can really be, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say about 90% of the jokes land. Norsemen starts off in 790 AD, and follows a few Vikings and their slaves. The show goes through their lives and their trials, but it's done with a comedic spin. If you haven't yet, watch the trailer above to get a better idea of the show. I will say this, this show reminds me of Monty Python ! Some of the jokes Norsemen  are gut busting, and will almost have you rolling on the floor laughing. In an age of bad comedies this show is gold.  I just started watching season 2 the other day, and I just want to keep watching. The episodes are about a half hour long each, and it's the perfect time frame to get the story across. I wouldn't c...
