Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle Movie Review

So, last night I went and saw Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, with some friends, and I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
Going in I had low expectations, granted the movie is no masterpiece, but it is enjoyable enough to warrant a watch.
A minor spoiler: This movie is a sequel to the original.
The acting was really good, especially since the had an almost all-star comedic cast which is really nice to see.
When the jokes land, they really do land. The Rock was really funny, and so was Jack Black. I haven't seen Jack Black in anything recently so it was nice to see him in a film again. The other cast members did a really good job too portraying their characters.
The color scheme was very bright, which complemented the comedic tones of the overall film. Granted that's a given for comedies, but I just had a feeling that I wanted to point that out just for this movie.
The music was not to memorable (by that I mean not much of an original score), except when you hear the hard pounding drum beat that comes from Jumanji.
Overall this film did surpass my expectations, but like I said it's no masterpiece, yet it is still an enjoyable watch, that I recommend seeing at least once.

final score:3.5/5

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far The funniest show I've seen in years I've been watching a show on Netflix called Norsemen, and I swear this is the funniest show I've seen in years! I can't understate how funny this show can really be, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say about 90% of the jokes land. Norsemen starts off in 790 AD, and follows a few Vikings and their slaves. The show goes through their lives and their trials, but it's done with a comedic spin. If you haven't yet, watch the trailer above to get a better idea of the show. I will say this, this show reminds me of Monty Python ! Some of the jokes Norsemen  are gut busting, and will almost have you rolling on the floor laughing. In an age of bad comedies this show is gold.  I just started watching season 2 the other day, and I just want to keep watching. The episodes are about a half hour long each, and it's the perfect time frame to get the story across. I wouldn't c...

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...
