Spider-Man: Homecoming Movie Review

So I saw this film yesterday with some friends and if I could sum up this entire movie into one word, that word would probably be, PREDICTABLE!
The first quarter of this movie was pretty good, and had some nice humor, I will admit. But after that you can pretty much guess what will happen for the entire film, and you will most likely be correct, within your guess.
They should have stuck with Andrew Garfield.
It really feels like they half-assed this movie, I'm not joking. Spider man homecoming follows the marvel formula to a tee!
There's no mention of Uncle Ben. The actress who plays Aunt May looks to young (a minor complaint) compared to past works of her.
I guessed the big "twist" at least about a half hour before it was revealed, I probably could have seen it earlier but I wasn't that interested.
I didn't feel much, if any, connection to Peter Parker as a character in this movie.
Some of the humor was really funny though, I have to give them props for that. But some of it was like they let a middle schooler write part of the script, I mean come on.
The romance was pretty forced, all throughout the film the gal didn't seem to have any attraction to Peter. Then all of a sudden, she did!
Save your money and wait until it comes out on tv, if you want to see it.

final score: 2.7/5

Coda Movie Review

Coda Movie Review This Deserved Best Picture So, I just got back from seeing Coda, and it was amazing! This was the second attempt to see this film as the first time, someone booked the entire theater for a private screening. I'm going to take from a summary from IMDB to summarize the plot: " As a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) Ruby is the only hearing person in her deaf family. When the family's fishing business is threatened, Ruby finds herself torn between pursuing her passion at Berklee College of Music and her fear of abandoning her parents." The acting was  phenomenal, the  cinematography was beautiful, and the story was human. The way this film is crafted is nothing short but excellent. I will not that not everything is 100% accurate, but for narrative reasons, I understand the choices they made. The actors have amazing chemistry together. Everything feels natural between them and they all bring their characters to life. No per...
