Blog Update: Books, Travel, Tvshows Oh My!

I have been mostly doing movie posts on here, and I do want to expand my content a little so I will soon be including book reviews, tvshow reviews, and sharing some of my travels. I will continue to mostly stay with movies though, but every once and awhile I will be posting some stuff other than film.
With traveling I'm going to go on a couple of trips next year, so I won't be sharing anything about travel until next year.
I'll probably do 1 or 2 tvshow reviews before October this year starts, if there's a specific show that you would like reviewed please leave a comment, and I might check it out!
I'm reading Dracula (the original book) right now, so when I finish that you can expect a review of that book! I have a couple other books I have in mind to review but that will becoming later!
But like I said this blog will mostly still be about film, I just want to make a couple of different posts to change things up every so often!

  1. Watch my little pony: Friendship is magic. Genuinely good show, with good messages and also pastel ponies kicking ass on occasion

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

2022 Halloween Playlist Well, it's that time of year again! It's time for the Halloween Playlist! I'm happy to continue this tradition. So, like each year, I build on the list from the previous years. Maybe you'll find something to add to your Halloween playlist this year too!

Uncharted Movie Review

Uncharted Movie Review Not As Good As The Games I went and saw the movie Uncharted a while ago, and it was as I expected it to be. If you are a fan of the games, well... prepare for disappointment. Uncharted follows Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), a low level thief as he is recruited by Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to go on a treasure hunt. As someone who has played some of the games, but not all, I have to say that the Uncharted film is what I thought it would be. A mishmash of all four games but not committing to any of them. The acting is a bit stale, and the plot is predictable. The camera work was fine, but the music was underused. Tom Holland should not have been Nathan Drake. He lacks the charisma, the attitude, and the charm. He may have passed for a teenage Nathan Drake, but he should have only been in a few scenes. I'm not the biggest fan of Tom Holland either long time readers may know. Now, onto Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan. Mark Wahlberg is way too young to be playi...
