IT Movie Review

So last night with some friends I went and saw the new film IT. I was surprised by how amazing the film was, and IT was truly amazing. The story follows a group of "loser" friends as they go through tragedy, coming of age things that happen in junior high, laughs, oh and a demonic clown that wants to eat them, they must overcome the trials of their youth while facing a deadly monster. And this story is done extremely well, and I am surprised how amazing it was. Okay so did child actors wakeup one day and suddenly decide to become just absolutely amazing? Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? Because really it really blows me away by how good the child actors are, I mean they're better than many adult actors! So I would like to say thank you for putting on a great show to Jaeden Lieberher playing Bill Denbrough, Jeremy Ray Taylor playing Ben Hanscom, Sophia Lillis playing Beverly Marsh, Finn Wolfhard playing Richie Tozier, Chosen Jacobs Mike Hanlon, Jack Dylan G...

The Glass Castle Movie Review

So yesterday with a friend I went and saw the movie The Glass Castle. I have too tell you that this is a must see film! The movie is based on a true story that follows a young girl throughout her early life with her majorly dysfunctional family. The acting was top notch, Brie Larson plays Jeannette the main character in this story, and her father, Rex is played by Woody Harrelson. I have to applaud all the actors because they really did do a fantastic job. One thing that I thought that this film did really effectively was its lack of music in some scenes too create tension and drama that elevates the scene to new heights that could not have been done if it involved music. The color scheme of this film truly matches the tone that the filmmakers were trying to capture within the scenes that they are presenting. At the very least I do hope that this film gets nominated when award season comes around. And I do plan to rewatch this film sometime in the future, and I might buy it too! T...

Little Evil Movie Review

So I just saw the movie Little Evil which you can see on Netflix. It's a very entertaining horror comedy, that you should probably watch at least once. Gary (played by Adam Scott) is a newly wed, and his new stepson who may or may not be the antichrist. I would like to say that Adam Scott is this movie, I can't see anyone else playing this character, Adam Scott is such a great actor. The lighting is done effectively that brings the film to a great level of entertainment, that shows the horror in an ironic sense of comedy. Unfortunately this is not a constant laugh out loud comedy, but you do get some good chuckles that are worth watching in this movie. The music is a little generic, but it's effective in the film. There are some attempts at heart to hearts between Gary and his stepson some fail and some work, but it works effectively with what they are trying to portray in the scene. Overall this film is really worth a watch, and it is very entertaining throughout, ...

The Hitman's Bodyguard Movie Review

Well if I could sum up this entire movie into one word it would be predictable. I don't have much to say because there's not much to say in the first place a Bodyguard protects a Hitman. The action is a little drawn out, and kind of got boring at times. Nothing new or interesting at all, at least that I can remember. Some and I repeat some of the comedy is okay. I will probably forget about this movie in a week. The actors did okay. Some of it's entertaining if you turn off your brain kinda thing. final score: 2.5/5

Logan Lucky Movie Review

So I just saw Logan Lucky with some friends, and it was a really fun film! The pacing was spot on, it didn't drag at all. The comedy kept the ball rolling for a while and there are some really good laughs to be had while watching this movie. There are not many heist films out right now so this was a really refreshing movie to watch, something different at grabs your attention and doesn't let go. The music for this film was really well done. Channing Tatum plays Jimmy Logan, a construction worker that just got laid off, and with his brother, his sister, and a inmate with his brothers, they all decide to try and rob a NASCAR race. This is such an entertaining movie I can't say this enough. I will for sure be watching this movie again when it comes out on DVD! final score: 4/5

Annabelle: Creation Movie Review

So last night I went and saw with some friends Annabelle: Creation. And it was a pretty enjoyable film. Once the tension starts to build it doesn't stop, it has some pretty terrifying imagery, that is well crafted and you can tell that the makers of this film really put their time into. So this movie is in the Conjuring Universe, and its a prequel to a spin-off film. I haven't seen Annabelle but from what I heard it wasn't that good, but this film, Annabelle: Creation is done wonderfully and should be celebrated by horror fans. The film also builds nicely into the Conjuring mythos, and adds more to the story so we have a more informative understanding of the events of the film series. There was a nice blend of light and dark coloring that elevates the film, to a point were its not always bleak. There's nothing to memorable about the music score unfortunately, but that's made up for the fantastic storytelling. Overall this is a fun film to watch, and a good one...

The Dark Tower Movie Review

So with some friends I just saw The Dark Tower, and it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong its still entertaining, but this is a kind of movie that you turn your brain off to enjoy. The opening sequence was done well, and the music created good atmosphere. However I didn't pay much attention to the music after the opening. I was surprised to see Katheryn Winnick in this film, she is a very good actress. The fight scenes are done well, a lot of gun action, that is appreciated. However what it brings in action it lacks in story, it feels rushed. And I don't know why but it made me think of Huckleberry Finn at some parts of it. I don't have much else to say about this movie, except to save your money and see it when it comes out on tv. final score: 3/5
