So yesterday with a friend I went and saw the movie The Glass Castle. I have too tell you that this is a must see film!
The movie is based on a true story that follows a young girl throughout her early life with her majorly dysfunctional family.
The acting was top notch, Brie Larson plays Jeannette the main character in this story, and her father, Rex is played by Woody Harrelson. I have to applaud all the actors because they really did do a fantastic job.
One thing that I thought that this film did really effectively was its lack of music in some scenes too create tension and drama that elevates the scene to new heights that could not have been done if it involved music.
The color scheme of this film truly matches the tone that the filmmakers were trying to capture within the scenes that they are presenting.
At the very least I do hope that this film gets nominated when award season comes around. And I do plan to rewatch this film sometime in the future, and I might buy it too! This one seemed to not get much promotion but it is defiantly worth a watch.
final score: 4.5/5
