An American Werewolf In London Movie Review

Not What I Expected

I saw An American Werewolf In London a little bit ago, and it was an alright film. What I'm most surprised about is, how few werewolf films there are.
An American Werewolf In London follows David ( David Naughton) and his friend Jack, two Americans traveling through England. They come across a small town which is awfully suspicious, and when they leave, they're attacked by a Werewolf. David survives and is brought to a hospital in London. Now he has to face becoming the monster which nearly killed him.
I thought this was a plain horror movie, but for some reason I didn't know going into the film, it was a horror-comedy. That said, I found the comedy to be pretty good. I was surprised at how many times I caught myself chuckling.
Regarding the cinematography, there aren't to many creative shots in the film. Everything is pretty standard, accept when the werewolf comes into play.
The actor, David Naughton, gave the best performance in An American Werewolf In London. Some of the side characters seemed stilted. I don't know if it was the script, the directing, or if the actors were just not that good. I won't complain about David Naughton though. I would like to see more of his films.
Another thing that was annoying in the film was how long it took for the werewolf transformation to happen. I'm not complaining about the actual transformation itself, because it was fantastic. What I am complaining about is how far into the film it takes for the first transformation. They really should have done it sooner.
The one thing which really got me was the ending. I was not a fan of this films ending, and it has a similar problem as many other 80s film endings. It just ends. There should be an after scene, or some sort of resolution from the climax, but no, the movie ends. This didn't feel right to me and I thought it was a lazy way to end a decent flick.
Would I recommend seeing, An American Werewolf In London? If you have the craving for a werewolf film, or a horror-comedy, then yeah I think I would recommend it. Even with all its faults, An American Werewolf In London, is still enjoyable.

final score: 3.3/5

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far The funniest show I've seen in years I've been watching a show on Netflix called Norsemen, and I swear this is the funniest show I've seen in years! I can't understate how funny this show can really be, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say about 90% of the jokes land. Norsemen starts off in 790 AD, and follows a few Vikings and their slaves. The show goes through their lives and their trials, but it's done with a comedic spin. If you haven't yet, watch the trailer above to get a better idea of the show. I will say this, this show reminds me of Monty Python ! Some of the jokes Norsemen  are gut busting, and will almost have you rolling on the floor laughing. In an age of bad comedies this show is gold.  I just started watching season 2 the other day, and I just want to keep watching. The episodes are about a half hour long each, and it's the perfect time frame to get the story across. I wouldn't c...
