Alita Battle Angel Movie Review

A Poorly Paced Film With Some Good Action

So, I saw Alita Battle Angel last night with a buddy of mine, and it was kind of bad. Poor pacing, poor acting, but some decent action once and a while.
Alita Battle Angel follows a cyborg named Alita as she is reawakened and bright back from the grave. Then she fights some bad guys.
You know, the character motivations are pretty weak, I mean yeah, they do sorta explain some stuff about the character and the conflict. However, everything is presented so poorly, you will question the entire film from beginning to end.
The acting is pretty terrible in the film. The emotional range of the actors goes from loud, to kinda quiet sometimes. The dialogue feels unnatural and repetitive a couple of times.
The pacing of this movie is atrocious. There's practically no time for characters to develop. They care about each other just because... because don't question it I guess. There's very little to work with here, and it shows.
Oh! Also there are a ton and I mean a TON of cliches in the movie. I'm a little late to the party reviewing this movie, but here's my thoughts if you haven't seen it yet. And just to note, sometimes it's almost laughable how bad the cliches are.
I will give the film this, once and a while, there are a couple good actions scenes. They're not perfect, but they're nowhere near terrible. If you want some flashy action, then you'll get what you pay for. Actually, the action was probably the best part of this film.
I didn't go into the film with any real expectations, but it somehow figured out how to go lower. You should also know, this film doesn't really have an ending. It tries to follow the hero's journey, but it stops before it should have. The only reason to even consider watching this, is for some of the action scenes, otherwise I recommend passing on, Alita Battle Angel.

final score: 2.5/5

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far The funniest show I've seen in years I've been watching a show on Netflix called Norsemen, and I swear this is the funniest show I've seen in years! I can't understate how funny this show can really be, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say about 90% of the jokes land. Norsemen starts off in 790 AD, and follows a few Vikings and their slaves. The show goes through their lives and their trials, but it's done with a comedic spin. If you haven't yet, watch the trailer above to get a better idea of the show. I will say this, this show reminds me of Monty Python ! Some of the jokes Norsemen  are gut busting, and will almost have you rolling on the floor laughing. In an age of bad comedies this show is gold.  I just started watching season 2 the other day, and I just want to keep watching. The episodes are about a half hour long each, and it's the perfect time frame to get the story across. I wouldn't c...
