Casablanca Movie Review

Casablanca, considered one of the best movies ever made, I have heard some say, but does it live up to the hype? For the most part, yes.
This movie is very well acted, and I don't think there's a bad performance in this movie. All of the actors do a fine job at portraying their characters.
The movie takes place in 1941 in a town called Casablanca that's in I believe, Morocco. The movie follows Rick a nightclub owner as an old love comes into town. This old love is a gal named Ilsa, and turns out she's married! And running from the Nazis!
This movie contains many one liners that have become famous throughout movie history. For example, "Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine." and, "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship." There are a few other one liners from this movie, but you will have to watch it yourself.
The music score is done well. Not all of the songs are really that memorable, but I do believe that this soundtrack is perfect for this film. There is one song that is played multiple times throughout the movie, and I can't remember the name of it, but it does hold some significance in the film and it does portray the past of Rick and Ilsa quite well.
There are some pretty good jokes in this film too, and when they hit, ohh do they hit! This isn't a comedy, but there are a few jokes in here that are as good as the best comedies out there.
Classical films hold a sort of standard for film makers. They give us a glimpse of some of the best early minds of this art. There is a certain charm to this film that I just can't help but to like. Even if you don't really like classic movies, or any black and white film, Casablanca is one film you should still give a shot.

final score: 4/5

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far The funniest show I've seen in years I've been watching a show on Netflix called Norsemen, and I swear this is the funniest show I've seen in years! I can't understate how funny this show can really be, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say about 90% of the jokes land. Norsemen starts off in 790 AD, and follows a few Vikings and their slaves. The show goes through their lives and their trials, but it's done with a comedic spin. If you haven't yet, watch the trailer above to get a better idea of the show. I will say this, this show reminds me of Monty Python ! Some of the jokes Norsemen  are gut busting, and will almost have you rolling on the floor laughing. In an age of bad comedies this show is gold.  I just started watching season 2 the other day, and I just want to keep watching. The episodes are about a half hour long each, and it's the perfect time frame to get the story across. I wouldn't c...
