Army Of The Dead Movie Review

A Fun Action Film

Zach Snyder's new action film, Army Of The Dead is a fun time with some good lines that you should see with friends.
Army Of The Dead follows a group of people sneaking into Las Vegas days before it's set to be nuked as the city has been overrun by zombies. The team's goal is to pull off a multimillion dollar heist and get out before the bomb is dropped.
If you like zombie films, Army Of The Dead is one I would recommend watching. The action is fun, there are some good lines, and the film has some solid CGI. I really think Zack had a blast directing this. But there are a few complaints to be made too.
But first I want to highlight some of the good points. The zombies are really cool and the fight scenes are well crafted to the point there is never a dull moment. I'm impressed by how fluid and natural the fight scenes are. And oh the explosions, a couple times I could have sworn Michael Bay did some consulting (in a good way) for a couple scenes. I did think there was going to be some more slowmo than there actually was because Zack Snyder is kinda known for it.
The directing was on point. Zack knew what he wanted from his cast and crew and he got it out of them. I think Army Of The Dead would have been a fun set to have been on. The lighting was solid and the cinematography was great. The music was perfect for the film.
Now the plot is a bit predictable. This isn't anything you haven't seen before with the cliches that are in the film, which is a real shame. Army Of The Dead did have the potential to take the plot up a notch but they played it safe. That doesn't make the film bad, but it does take my rating down a few notches.
If you're looking for a mindless, fun, action film to go and see with your friends, then consider seeing Army Of The Dead. It looks like the Summer Blockbusters are coming early.

final score: 3.3/5

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review

Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young. What surprised...

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far

Norsemen Netflix Show Review So Far The funniest show I've seen in years I've been watching a show on Netflix called Norsemen, and I swear this is the funniest show I've seen in years! I can't understate how funny this show can really be, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say about 90% of the jokes land. Norsemen starts off in 790 AD, and follows a few Vikings and their slaves. The show goes through their lives and their trials, but it's done with a comedic spin. If you haven't yet, watch the trailer above to get a better idea of the show. I will say this, this show reminds me of Monty Python ! Some of the jokes Norsemen  are gut busting, and will almost have you rolling on the floor laughing. In an age of bad comedies this show is gold.  I just started watching season 2 the other day, and I just want to keep watching. The episodes are about a half hour long each, and it's the perfect time frame to get the story across. I wouldn't c...
