Happy (Fingers Crossed) October Everyone! Let's Kick Off This Spooky Month With Betty Boop!

See, I've already matched the number of posts from last month! But anyways guys happy October and lets hope something bad doesn't happen this month... I'm going to knock on wood for that one...

But since I'm going to be posting more this month, I thought I'd kick of the celebration of horror with none other than, Betty Boop!

"What the hell does Betty Boop have to do with horror?" You may be asking yourself right now. Well friend, just a few months ago I would have thought the same thing, but then, I actually watched a few of the old cartoons. And yeah, they're basically horror.

I was pretty surprised to find this out, but hey it was very entertaining. If you like old school cartoons you might enjoy Betty Boop. If you're a horror fan and a bit skeptical that Betty Boop doesn't fit the October spirit, just watch these cartoons:

Uncharted Movie Review

Uncharted Movie Review Not As Good As The Games I went and saw the movie Uncharted a while ago, and it was as I expected it to be. If you are a fan of the games, well... prepare for disappointment. Uncharted follows Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), a low level thief as he is recruited by Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to go on a treasure hunt. As someone who has played some of the games, but not all, I have to say that the Uncharted film is what I thought it would be. A mishmash of all four games but not committing to any of them. The acting is a bit stale, and the plot is predictable. The camera work was fine, but the music was underused. Tom Holland should not have been Nathan Drake. He lacks the charisma, the attitude, and the charm. He may have passed for a teenage Nathan Drake, but he should have only been in a few scenes. Dora and the Lost City of Gold Movie Review This Was My Dad's Idea Well... I went and saw Dora and the Lost City of Gold today with my dad, and... the film was a lot funnier than it has any right to be. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a live action adaptation of the Dora tv show on Nickelodeon. Dora, now a teenager, is sent to the City to live with her cousin, Diego, while her parents go exploring for a lost City. When her parents go missing, Dora and her new friends go and search for her parents. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the movie wasn't half bad. There is a ton of tongue and cheek humor. There is some cringe to the Dora and the Lost City of Gold too, but remember, this is a movie made for kids. As a kids film, it does a fine job. The acting was fine, and for a kids film, everyone did alright. Isabela Moner, who played Dora, did a good job portraying the character from what I remember about the show when I was very young.
