The Foreigner Movie Review

So I just saw the movie The Foreigner, a few hours ago, and I must say that it is an entertaining watch that should be viewed at least once.
Jackie Chan stars in this film as a man hunting down those who killed his daughter, as she was caught in the cross fire of a different political event.
This is a serious action film, were I don't think they cracked a joke even once. And you know what? It was kinda nice to see a serious action film that was well acted.
One thing that I truly applaud the film for is that every major character whether they are good or bad, you do understand their motivations for their actions.
The music score is forgettable in this and it's defiantly not the main focus of this film. Yet the color grading was done nicely to make scenes bleak when they needed too. The camera work caught the action perfectly, so well done to the videographers of this film.
The fight scenes make sense in the movie, there is no action for the sake of action. Every fight is done for a reason, and it's understandable why it's happening.
This movie doesn't really strike me as something that will be very memorable, but if I feel in the mood for an action flick then this one is on the list.

final score: 3/5

Coda Movie Review

Coda Movie Review This Deserved Best Picture So, I just got back from seeing Coda, and it was amazing! This was the second attempt to see this film as the first time, someone booked the entire theater for a private screening. I'm going to take from a summary from IMDB to summarize the plot: " As a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) Ruby is the only hearing person in her deaf family. When the family's fishing business is threatened, Ruby finds herself torn between pursuing her passion at Berklee College of Music and her fear of abandoning her parents." The acting was  phenomenal, the  cinematography was beautiful, and the story was human. The way this film is crafted is nothing short but excellent. I will not that not everything is 100% accurate, but for narrative reasons, I understand the choices they made. The actors have amazing chemistry together. Everything feels natural between them and they all bring their characters to life. No per...
