The Suicide Squad Movie Review A Fun Time I went out and saw The Suicide Squad with one of my friends last Saturday, and I gotta say, I had a pretty fun time. I'm going to use the IMDb synopsis for this one, " Supervillains Harley Quinn, Bloodsport, Peacemaker and a collection of nutty cons at Belle Reve prison join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X as they are dropped off at the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese." The Suicide Squad was 100% turn your brain off and enjoy type of film. It's not great, but it's good enough to put everything on pause and have some fun. The cat works well together, the action is well paced, and the cinematography along with the editing is eye-catching. This cast really plays off of each other perfectly. I would love to see them work together again. There were no "bad" performances, though I wish some characters got more screen time than others. Their chemistry had a natural flow to it.   Justice League Dark: Apokolips War Movie Review This Film Is Brutal I saw Justice League Dark: Apokolips War the other night and I couldn't get this film out of my head this morning. I'm still thinking about it. This is a good movie, but be warned, it is very brutal. Justice League Dark: Apokolips War follows a large cast of characters of the DC universe as they fight Darkseid for the survival of the Earth. The movie mainly follows Superman ( Jerry O'Connell ), Constantine ( Matt Ryan ), and Raven ( Taissa Farmiga ), as they pick up the pieces and try to restore the world. I wasn't prepared for what I saw. The voice acting is great, the animation is fluid, the pacing is top notch, and the story is engaging. Justice League Dark: Apokolips War earns it's R rating and rightly so. Shazam! Movie Review Cringey, Dark, Funny I just got back from seeing the movie Shazam! with a buddy of mine, and it was pretty good with some minor flaws. The movie follows Billy Batson (Asher Angel), a foster kid who keeps running away looking for his mom. When he moves into his new foster home, he befriends Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer). Billy is chosen to become a champion and gain the powers of Shazam(Zachary Levi), thus becoming a superhero. Billy and Freddy go out and attempt to figure out Billy's new powers, but an evil looms shaking to take the powers of Shazam. Honestly, this is one of the better DC films out there, heck it might be their best one yet. I found the movie to be highly entertaining. The actors did a great job and the colors really popped within the movie. Zachary Levi kills it in this film! Yup, this trailer is garbage. So, when I was young in the early 2k's I watched the show Teen Titans and I loved it! But this is an abomination!  The dialogue is stale, the CGI is so basic, I've seen better from 90's films, and this looks like a CW reject show.  They are trying so hard to be edgy, and dark, but because they are trying so hard, they are failing miserably at it!!!
