Mission Impossible Fallout Movie Review

So I went and saw Mission Impossible Fallout with my dad at the theater, and it was better than I thought it would be, and I really enjoyed myself. I'm assuming that you've already seen the other Mission Impossible films and you know the basics of this one. This time around Ethan and friends are trying to get some Plutonium from some bad guys and hijinks ensue. If you're looking to go to the theater and watch a fun spy film, you will like this movie. If you are looking for a good action film this summer, you will like this movie. Mission Impossible Fallout, has just the right amount of silliness in it to work. Don't get me wrong, this movie does have some really intense scenes in it. But some of it is still larger than life, and it works well. This movie does have a few problems however. For example you can really feel the length of the film at times, and that can really drag. Some of the lines delivered are kinda off at times, but this is few and far between. Th

Blazing Saddles Movie Review

So, people kept telling me to watch Blazing Saddles, and so I did, but it was over hyped. I consider myself a fan of Gene Wilder, as I love Young Frankenstein and Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, but I couldn't really feel a strong performance from him this time around. I'm not going to explain the story for this movie, frankly because I was kinda bored throughout the film. Don't get me wrong, there are a couple of well placed jokes in this movie, but it's just that I really couldn't get into it overall. It just wasn't that entertaining, and there are a ton of better comedies that I've seen from that era. Honestly this movie just seemed like it was just a paycheck for these actors and nothing more. I mean I understand that this is a job for them, but I didn't feel like they actually cared about this movie. I kind of expected more, and I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up for this film. Would I recommend watching it? If you are a Gene Wilde

Beautiful Creatures Movie Review

Beautiful Creatures is a 2013 movie that appears to be just another run of the mill YA film, and in some ways it is, however this movie has a little more depth than it looks. Now I know that I watched this movie a couple of years ago, I think maybe a year after it came out. I didn't really remember much about this movie when I saw it again. Now I just rewatched this movie a little bit ago, and before I rewatched this I thought I would just tear into this movie for being a generic teen film. After watching this movie, my opinion changed dramatically. Now to give some context, the movie starts out following Ethan, a southern teen in a small town living what appears to be an average life. Everything changes when he meets a teen girl, Lena, with magical powers. In traditional YA fashion, this movie would have a love triangle, one dimensional male primary character, and the main female character would just be "special" but she wouldn't realize it until the love interest

The Breadwinner Movie Review

The Breadwinner is a 2017 film directed by Nora Twomey, and when I watched this film I thought that it would be good but it turned out to be a beautiful work of art. The Breadwinner starts in 2001 just a little bit before the Afghan War started. The hero of our story is an eleven year old girl named Parvana. The movie opens with Parvana and her father selling goods at the market, but due to a dispute with a member of the Taliban, her father is eventually arrested. At the time of this movie Women could not go outside alone without the accompaniment of a Man. So, to provide for her family Parvana disguises herself as a boy so she can go out and work. I can not state this enough, but the animation in this movie is nothing short of breathtaking. The style of design is somewhat simple, but the color scheme and shading are what give this film a form of life unto itself. In a day and age where it seems that animated films are dominated by Japanese anime, or Disney cartoons, this movie is

Check out My New book: The Great Emu War!

The Great Emu War of 1932 is an event one does not expect to here about when they think of Australia, but they actually declared war on a bird. This actually happened. As a side note I would like to say that this was probably one of the funnest things that I have ever written. Also some of the language used in this book is exaggerated at times, but I trust that you dear reader will know when that occurs.

Why I Freaking Hate Girls Like You By Maroon 5 ft. Cardi B (RANT)

So I've had the freaking song Girls Like You, by Maroon 5 stuck in my freaking head for the past few freaking days. I really want to keep the language PG on my blog, but it's going to be work getting through this freaking post!!! Fist off this song lyrically is just so freaking lazy. According to Wikipedia  (God Bless them and I mean it) this freaking song had not 1 not 2 but 6, 6! FREAKING. SONG. WRITERS. How the heck did it take 6 freaking people to write this mindless drivel. Secondly, this song is nothing but pandering, and it happens to be targeted at Women. Which is something that many pop songs do. Granted I want to say that I condemn songs that blatantly pander to either Men or Women. I don't discriminate, if it's bad, it's bad. This song doesn't try to hide the fact that it's pandering, it's simply the point of the song. Now I want to compare the first verse and refrain of this song to the first verse of a song that I find far superior.

Equalizer 2 Movie Review

So I saw the movie Equalizer 2 earlier today, and it was an unexpected film in a way that I didn't really expect. I want to say that the opening scene of this movie, is really, really good. It's probably one of my favorite scene in this movie. However, this movie doesn't live up to the first one, but it's still good in some ways. One thing you should know about going into this movie is that there really isn't much action in this film. There is way less action than the first, actually. Which was kinda irritating going in and watching this. There are heavy drama moments in this film, and they are done well when presented in the film. Equalizer 2 does drag on a bit though, and it's hard to figure out the sense of direction this film has. I swear that this movie sets up multiple different scenarios where the plot could really get going, but it doesn't deliver on them, as most are just subplots. You will most likely have a good time in the theater with this,

Godzilla: King of the Monsters Trailer Review

HOLY FREAKING CRAP THIS TRAILER LOOKS SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It starts off a little weak for me but after the first quarter of it, it gets so freaking good! I was surprised to see Millie Bobby Brown in the trailer and I'm very happy to see her in Godzilla King of the Monsters. Now, If this movie can live up to the hype I'm getting from this trailer, it's going to be so freaking fantastic!!! final score: 4.8/5

How I got more Impressions on my Twitter

So, I usually don't make posts like this because I usually make post about movie reviews, but I thought I would tell how I've been increasing my impressions on twitter, and if you're having trouble getting more impressions, you may benefit from this too. So there are 3 yes 3 things I've been been doing that have helped me gain traction. 1. tweeting everyday  2. tweeting in the trending section 3. commenting on other tweets Lets go through this one by one to help you break this down. 1. TWEETING EVERYDAY For the past few days I have been tweeting everyday. I mean everyday. When I wake up I check twitter and I send off 1 or 2 tweets. Now if you're looking to do this then you don't have to tweet right away when you get up, but it might be a good idea that you try to tweet multiple times throughout the day. Don't forget to use hashtags as well. If you are going to use hashtags, then don't make them look spammy, by that I mean don't ad

A Dirty Job Book Review

So, I just finished reading the book A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore. This is a fantastically entertaining book which I recommend strongly. So the plot of the book follows Charlie Asher, just your average beta male. When his wife dies shortly after childbirth, Charlie finds himself taking on a new job as death. Okay, one thing that I want to make clear about this book is that it has multiple laugh out loud moments that are really really funny. Granted this doesn't happen all the time in the story but when it does it really hits! The characters are always entertaining, and I think that there was not one primary or secondary character that I did not like. Pretty much all of the characters had something to add to the story in a way that really portrays it very well. If you're up for a little dark humor, you will like this book. If you like a little bit you silly adventure, you will like this book. If you've read this book before, please tell me what your thoughts of it we
