It Movie Review A Simple But Fun Silent Film It, is a 1927 silent film starring the original it girl, Clara Bow. The plot of the film is simple, yet it's still fun. It follows a young shopgirl named Betty Lou (Clara Bow) as she sparks a romance with her boss. Like I said, the plot is simple, but the movie is actually pretty good. This was the first Clara Bow film I've seen and I can see why she was one of the top actresses for her time. There is a bit of wit and charm to her character and she plays it well. I greatly enjoyed her acting, and after seeing this film I want to see some of her other films as well. I've heard her film Wings  is pretty good. I might even check out a collection of her work at some point. Honestly though, she was a a pretty good actress. For modern audiences though, the plot may seem a bit simple.
